(Solo Exhibition)

October 17, 2021 - November 7, 2021

Opening Reception: October 17, 2021, 2:00 pm-4:00 pm

Traditions was ready to open on March 15, 2020, a date many recall as the start of the current pandemic.  Eighteen months later the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts is pleased to reopen its exhibition series featuring Anita Weitzman.

During the pandemic Anita was featured in the Hamilton Spectator, “Stuck in her Shalom Village apartment…” she was ‘trying to survive by painting’.  Her “raw and refined” work has also been reviewed for her solo and group exhibitions with the Women’s Art Association of Hamilton.

“I like to bring the personal element into my work.  It is not just a pretty picture, but a feeling, an emotion behind the image…I want you, the viewer, ‘to get involved’…and enjoy the experience”.

Please be advised that all entrants to the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts over the age of 12 must present identification and proof of vaccination for both Covid-19 vaccines, as per the Government of Ontario’s policies. We thank you for your co-operation and support of the arts as we adapt to serve our community.

HCA Gallery Hours: Monday - Thursday 1:00 - 9:00pm and Saturday 9:00am - 4:00pm
