Sally Glanville (Solo Exhibition)
November 27, 2008 - December 19, 2008
Sally Glanville is an exhibiting artist whose works on paper and prints have been shown at various galleries in Ontario. She holds a BSC degree from the Ohio State University, and has studied printmaking at Open Studio in Toronto. Much about her themes have been prompted by experiences while traveling in Europe, East Africa, Morocco and India. Some of her works are gouache paintings of various subjects especially animals and birds.
A printmaking approach is now applied to the photo montages which she assembles using hand drawn elements and digital images, layered using Photoshop, much as conventional prints are created by adding layers of colour and texture. Sally continues to conduct classes in life drawing and fashion drawing at such venues as the Harbourfront Centre and various high schools in the City of Toronto.
