Emily attended York University, receiving an Honours Bachelor of Arts. She studied literature and dance, with a focus on pedagogy, anatomy, kinesiology, and mentorship. Emily worked in arts administration with Canada’s National Ballet School Residence. She was privileged to support the hard work, drive, and commitment these young people put toward achieving their artistic goals. Emily has taught ballet, creative movement, and jazz in community centres around Toronto. As a Dance Coordinator, she created and taught a program centred on foundations, fundamentals, and self expression. She has since found her place in the world of barre fitness, teaching classes focusing on proper alignment and strong foundations to create and maintain optimal function. Her driving force is to inspire others and instill a love for the arts in each student. It is her particular joy and privilege to assist people of all ages discover or continue to explore their creative passions, particularly through dance and movement.
