The programing for the camps run from 9am – 3:30pm for the full day camps (6-12 year olds), and 9:30am – 12:30pm for the Kinder Arts Camps (4-5 year olds).
Before and After Care
Before and after care is available between 8am – 9am and 3:30 pm – 5:30pm.(except for Kinder Arts Exploration Camps) The HCA Staff are on hand to greet all early comers.
At 9am students meet their first instructors in the HCA Recital Hall where they get ready for their morning classes. There is a morning snack time that follows these first activities.
After break time, students continue with their classes before it’s lunchtime! All students either eat together with their supervisors in the air conditioned Recital Hall for lunch or, on nice days (and with written permission granted at the beginning of the camp), the students and supervisors walk over to the local park area to eat their lunch and enjoy the outdoors. Following lunch, students meet the next instructors and have a fun filled afternoon.
At the end of the day (3:30pm), all students meet in the Recital Hall, where parents meet their child’s instructor and sign them out before leaving the building.
Friday Celebration Day
On the last day of the camp, parents and other family members will be invited to the Conservatory to see students present their newly developed skills and creations. The Celebration Day performance is typically scheduled on the last Friday of Camp at approximately 2:00pm, or 11:30am for the Kinder Arts Camps. All are welcome to attend a potluck celebration following the performance. Details of this event will be sent to parents and will available in the newsletter.
Sign In and Out Procedure
An adult should always accompany students into the facility. At the end of the day, students must be signed out by an adult. We do not allow students to leave the building unless a parent/guardian or another adult designate accompanies them or written permission is given directly to the front desk administration. To ensure the safety of your children, we ask that on the first morning of camp parents/guardians fill in an alternate pick up form. This form designates who is able to sign in/out the camper during the week. We ask for ID during sign out procedures, so please remember to bring a piece of photo ID with you.
