Arts Live Here!
The Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts is home to one of Hamilton's most vibrant arts facilities. Our year-round programming in dance, theatre, visual arts, and music welcome students of all ages and experience levels.

For over 25 years, the HCA has been the place where a love of the arts becomes a way of life. Under one roof, dancers, musicians, visual artists and actors of every age and background find their people, their practice, and their voice.

Our historic home at 126 James Street South in Hamilton hums with creative energy, led by a faculty whose passion and genuine devotion to every student ensures a rewarding learning experience.
Our Values
A Holistic Approach to Arts Education
When our doors opened in 1998, our mandate was "To attune the soul to the arts of music, dance, theatre and visual arts; To honour the traditions of those arts while preserving and nurturing individual imagination; To create an environment where artistic instincts are encouraged, where artistic products of quality are displayed and where the arts are a vehicle to stimulate personal growth." While the wording has changed, our commitment has remained the same.
