CLASS DESCRIPTION
Junior Acting
Junior Acting teaches character development, improv and performance technique in a program built for students exploring acting for the first time! This upbeat, creative class lets students uncover how their unique qualities can influence their performance through improv, collective creation, text study and rehearsal. Students will build confidence, develop their creative voice, and celebrate their unique controbutions to an ensemble. This class provides several opportunities to perform in invited studio performances throughout the year, including a final production in the HCA Black Box Theatre.
TERM ONE: Theatre Craft & Improvisation
TERM TWO: Collective Creation & Playwriting
TERM THREE: Set the Stage: Rehearsal and Spring Studio Performance Series
TAKE THE STAGE! This program culminates in an invited presentation in June in the HCA Black Box Theatre.
PLEASE NOTE: This program will require attendance at dress rehearsals and performances in May and/or June (dates TBA).

Stephanie Hope Lawlor
Stephanie Hope Lawlor is an award-nominated actor, director, program creator, and teaching artist with over two decades of professional experience. A leader in Hamilton’s theatre community, she is passionate about developing emerging artists and creating inclusive, supportive spaces where students can build confidence, explore their craft, and grow.

Registration Fee (Family): $50
Production Fee: $50 in Term Three. This fee covers all rehearsal-related expenses, including printing, technicians, small props, and other production needs.
